Massage Therapy
Hi I'm Chris, welcome to Hands on Wellness.
I relocated to Williams Lake from the Okanagan in 2011 and have been serving the Williams Lake community since then. After living in the lake city for six months I met my wife Leeah. We are excited to call the Cariboo our home and raise our son Griffin here.
I offer my patients everything from hot stone relaxation massage to athletic therapeutic massage treatments, including personalized gradual rehabilitation for all conditions. I also frequently treat difficult conditions that require individualized treatment plans including, but not limited to the following conditions: herniated discs, spondylolisthesis, severe kyphosis/scoliosis, frozen shoulder, thoracic outlet syndrome, post-surgical scar tissue immobilities and pre & post-natal massage.
I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in 2009. While attending WCCMT, I worked with an extensive range of patients in my outreach training. My experience includes work with the Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival, UBC Whitecaps Soccer Team, and the Women’s Olympic Softball Team. I have had the honor of treating top medalists and professional triathletes at the Oliver/Osoyoos Half Ironman and Penticton Ironman events. I enjoy helping athletes achieve their peak performance both pre and post event.
I started my career as a Certified Spa Practitioner and have worked within spas in Whistler, Kelowna, Penticton, White Rock, and Surrey. I have trained in shiatsu, reflexology, hot stone massage, Thai-yoga, Ayurveda, and aromatherapy. Having experienced the spa industry, I decided to advance my career by working with physiotherapists, chiropractors, and doctors. I completed a locum at a multi-disciplinary clinic in Surrey working with patients suffering from recent or chronic motor vehicle accident injuries, including whiplash, severe muscle spasms, and chronic pain. This experience brought me to my passion for helping people with various conditions using my selective style of deep tissue/sports massage therapy. In 2014 I completed a fascial manipulation course to further my ability to treat chronic pain conditions with longer lasting results.
It gives me great pleasure to help people feel their best, and I have had many rewarding experiences in the health care profession. I look forward to continued work and growth within the wonderful community of Williams Lake.
